The WSBK rider Niccolò Canepa, (busy this weekend in the Malaysian round of the World Superbike) will appear before the Justice of the Peace of Florence charged with assault and battery.

During practice at the Mugello circuit on September 23, 2013, Canepa allegedly operated the front brake lever of the motorcycle driven by David Cappato, causing it to flip.

Captured by CCTV cameras of the Tuscan track, the images clearly show a rider move his left hand off the handlebars and then hitting the brake lever of the bike that is at his side, David Cappato Suzuki GSX-R 1000. The impact has fractured his collarbone.

The hearing is scheduled for September 30, 2015 at the criminal justice of the peace of Florence.
