Who’s The New Guy?

For my avid readers from my website www.fightfordirttrack.com to the readers out there who may be seeing my name for the first time, I say hello and welcome to MotoFeed. I am very excited to be a part of this site, as the format and the content are a perfect platform for a make believe journalist such as myself.

To get things started, I’ve spent the last 6 years in the trenches of the greatest form of motorsports in the world and the original extreme sport; Flat Track. Not only did I write about the ins and outs of the sport and the behind the scenes news, but I also took to the track for the last 3 years as a struggling racer in the Pro Singles class. I finally realized that I just wasn’t quick enough to cut it in the pro ranks after failing to make even one main event appearance, but some of the experiences I had along the way were incredible.

Now focusing on my career at the Memphis Shades Motorcycle Windshield and Fairing company, I am taking a step back from covering only flat track on a weekly basis. Here on Moto Feed you may get a racing story here, and inside the industry story there, a ride review, a product review, it’s going to be a hodgepodge of things, but it will be fun. I’ll try to post often, but I can’t promise that it will be on a weekly basis. Hopefully you guys will follow along in this new adventure.

If you have any feed back or questions, send them to tylerp@motofeed.com. If you want to see my old projects you can read my very last InSLIDE Line on www.fightfordirttrack.com as well as the last 5 InSLIDE Lines before that by going here. This is going to be a new adventure, so stay tuned. Thanks for the opportunity MotoFeed!

I’d like to thank my long time advertisers who have stayed with me through this transition. You will soon see their logos and links along with each of my posts, but this is a work in progress. Please support those who not only support me, but the great sport of motorcycling in general.

  1. Tyler. glad to see you landed here. keep us flat track people informed. thanks jerry holm

  2. Glad to see you aren’t a total quitter. Look forward to reading about your two-wheel adventures. Hope to see you collaborate for a t-shirt design again sometime in the future. The world needs more “legit” designed flat track street apparel for all of us never has been racers!

  3. Tyler I have been a long time flat track fan and really enjoyed your site. Looking forward to reading your stuff here.

  4. Doesn’t matter what self imposed, or given title gets hung on a racer, you are ‘a racer’ if you’ve ever signed up and lined up at a starting line. And at the GNC racing level like you’ve participated at that’s saying something. It’s a select few riders that ever get to race on the Springfield Mile or the Peria TT.
    Welcome to MotoFeed Tyler Porter!!!
    PS-Thx for the kudos
