SX: Ken Roczen talks injury, surgeries and outlook at Daytona Supercross

Ken Roczen chatted with Ralph Sheehan at Daytona Supercross to give us race fans an update on how his battered arm is progressing. Since the violent crash at Anaheim 2 on January 21st, Roczen has undergone 10 surgeries to correct and repair his left elbow, forearm and wrist. The latest procedure was this past Monday, March 13th, in which doctors removed the external fixator that has been keeping the bones in place.

From here on out we expect Ken to work as hard as is humanly possible to rehab his arm and get back into riding shape by the outdoors season. He’s still a couple months away from getting back on a bike, but if anyone can make a short recovery from such a gruesome injury, it’s this guy.

Monster Energy Supercross continues this weekend in Indy. Ryan Dungey has dominated here and will look to capture his 4th straight win under the Lucas Oil Stadium dome, but Eli Tomac has been at the top of the field of late. Should be a fun one to watch!
