Short Recap Of 2017 Blowsion World Finals: October 2

Monday, October 2, was the first day participants took the water in practice. First time World Finals competitors learned that flat water can turn into whitecaps due to Lake Havasu City’s surprise wind that shows up, often unannounced. The pits were filled by the afternoon and both grandstands were filled for the course demonstration. Vendors started setting up tents and the beaches held numerous watercraft which either made it out to practice or prepared for tomorrow. More than 330 individual competitors now have fully entered the event as we approach the numbers attained in 2016. Not bad at all. The day ended with smoother waters. More than 30 practice heats were successfully run. See you tomorrow!
