MotoAmerica Champions Will Sign Autographs In Long Beach

Two-time and reigning MotoAmerica Superbike Champion Cameron Beaubier and 2016 MotoAmerica Supersport Champion Garrett Gerloff will be signing autographs and greeting fans at the Yamaha display this weekend at the International Motorcycle Show at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California.

Beaubier’s #1 Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Factory Racing YZF-R1 Superbike and Gerloff’s #1 Yamaha Extended Service/Graves/Yamaha R6 will be on display. Free posters will be provided for the riders to sign and hand out to fans in attendance. Meet Beaubier and Gerloff on Friday from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Yamaha will display its 2017 model lineup, including the new YZF-R6 that Gerloff and teammate JD Beach will race in the 2017 MotoAmerica Supersport class. Other models on display include the 2017 FZ-10, FZ-09, SCR950, and several “Yard Built” custom bikes, including a reimagined VMAX, XSR900, SCR950, and SR400.

Demo rides will take place at the Long Beach Convention Center parking lot on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Licensed motorcyclists will be able to ride a 2017 Yamaha FZ-10, SCR950, or any of the following 2016 models: V Star 1300 Deluxe, Stryker, FJR1300ES, FJR1300A, Super Ténéré, YZF-R1S, Bolt R-Spec, XSR900, FZ-09, FJ-09, FZ-07, YZF-R6, or YZF-R3.

To take a ride, you’ll need a valid motorcycle license (permits are not allowed), a DOT-approved helmet, long pants, enclosed shoes, a shirt, and eye protection. To ride an FZ-10 or R1S, you also must be at least 25 years of age.

In a random drawing from all entries received in the “Yamaha R1S Urban Ops Sweepstakes,” Yamaha will select one winner who will receive a one-of-a-kind 2017 Yamaha YZF-R1S that has been modified with Genuine Yamaha Accessories, select aftermarket upgrades, special graphics, and custom lighting.
