GUNNING FOR ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP: ANDREW LEE ADDS FRANKLIN ARMORY TO HIS ARSENAL

Defending Stock 1000 Champion Andrew Lee has a bona fide weapon in his Kawasaki ZX-10R, having won the 2018 title with three race wins, four poles, and seven top-two finishes out of eight races on the season. For 2019, Lee will be back aboard his Kawasaki in Stock 1000, with the #1 emblazoned on the front and sides of the bike, and he’s added Franklin Armory as the title sponsor for his team.

Based in Nevada, Franklin Armory specializes in manufacturing AR-style firearms for sporting, military, and law enforcement applications. The company also manufactures NFA-compliant firearms and prides itself in using 100 percent American-made parts and materials.

“We’ve now got some firepower to go along with our horsepower,” Lee quipped.

“I’m very excited to be working with Franklin Armory. The people who work there are really great, and the company sources all American materials and equipment, which in my book is awesome! I’m super-thankful to have them in my program this year. 2019 is shaping up to be an incredible year.”

Jay Jacobson, owner and president of Franklin Armory, commented, “It is an honor to be able to give back to the sport that I love so much. As a former backmarker in AMA road racing, I know just how impressive it is that Andrew has accomplished so much in so little time. The crossover demographics between motorcycles and firearms are significant, and we appreciate the opportunity to be able to engage our customers while supporting Andrew Lee Racing in the upcoming MotoAmerica Stock 1000 series.”

Andrew Lee will debut his #1 Franklin Armory Kawasaki ZX-10R at round one of the 2019 MotoAmerica Stock 1000 Championship, which takes place on April 5-7 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia.
