Go Az Motorcycles; All you ever wanted and more
All you have ever wanted and more
Chances are if you currently own, have owned or dream of owning a motorcycle, you have been inside a motorcycle dealership. You can find a dealer in every town or city across the country but I am willing to bet the dealerships you have been to pale in comparison to GO AZ Motorcycles based out of Scottsdale, Arizona
.
I had the chance to get to know the staff at GO AZ last year, through an opportunity I had working with pro motorcycle racer, Melissa Paris, when they signed on as title sponsor for her entry in the Laguna Seca round of the AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike Championship.
Melissa got connected with GO AZ when they invited her out for International Women’s Ride Day. She led a large group of ladies from all walks of life through the mountains and streets of Scottsdale and then was a guest speaker at a luncheon following the ride. Little did we know at the time how much of an important role GO AZ would play in the 2014 racing season. At the end of the season Melissa was invited back to the dealership for Bob’s Biker Blast. That event is known as one of the largest biker parties in greater Phoenix area. The event is named for GO AZ Motorcycles owner Bob Parsons and attracts up to 10,000 patrons. All the proceeds go thePhoenix Children’s Hospital. Melissa was really impressed with how involved they are with the community, “I was overwhelmed by the amount of people who showed up for Bob’s Biker Blast. The street ride was massive, with hundreds of riders meeting up at the Children’s Hospital. Later, back at the dealership, people just kept pouring in to see a performance by Heart. Bob’s Biker Blast ended up raising nearly $380,000 for Phoenix Children’s Hospital.”
I recently got the chance to speak with some of the staff at GO AZ Motorcycles and had them explain to me what GO AZ is all about, including some of the great things they partnered with Melissa on.
GO AZ was founded and is owned by Bob Parsons. Bob Parsons and his staff at GO AZ Motorcycles have an unparalleled passion for motorcycles, the people who ride them, and the community in which they ride. When asked why the dealership was founded the team resounding shared that there is a need among riders in the motorcycle community for a “destination dealership” that offers everything a rider needs to fuel their riding experience and Go AZ was founded to fill that need.
When you arrive at GO AZ you’re totally blown away by the sheer size of it. It’s a whole complex of buildings that house nearly every make and model of motorcycle (KTM, Triumph, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, BMW, Aprilla, Vespa and Ural) and more accessories than you can imagine. After her first visit, Melissa said she was joking around with the staff saying it was the motorcycle equivalent of a shopping mall. The dealership is on 14 acres, which also houses a demonstration and training facility and the country’s only advanced motorcycle simulators. If that isn’t enough to get you over and visit, Bob Parsons added a custom fabrication and finishing business called Spooky Fast Custom Finishing. Spooky Fast is home to 40,000 square feet of state of the art paint, powder coat, ceramic coat, fabrication and hydro-dripping equipment. The team includes some of the most talented artists and fabricators in the industry.
Aside from the impressive facilities, GO AZ has a wide range of services to help every level of rider. If you are a new to the sport, GO AZ is the perfect place for you. They offer comprehensive introductory, licensing preparation, and skill enhancement training. They occasionally provide the training on a complimentary basis and if needed they can provide loaner bikes. They have their own instructors, who view their work as a potentially life-saving community service. Maybe you have been riding for a while but would like to freshen up on your skills or perhaps you want to start working on your own bike but could use some valuable lessons, that’s fine too because Go AZ offers a wide range of technical seminars covering topics ranging from routine bike maintenance to proper helmet fitting.
Go AZ engages with the various motorcycle clubs in the Scottsdale area and works diligently to continue and grow those relationships by promoting their events to Go AZ’s large customer base andhosting/sponsoring rides. The dealership alsoholds new model releases, military appreciation barbecue’s, holiday fashions shows, Fathers Day Parties, female focused rides and initiative’s, Go to Lunch at Go AZ and so much more. If the goal was to be a “destination dealership” Go AZ has definitely surpassed themark by building a place for the riding community to shop, learn, meet up or just hang out and enjoy the scenery!
At the risk of sounding like an all out commercial for Go AZ, I’d suggest checking them out! In a time where a lot of dealerships in our industry are cutting back, the team at Go AZ is continuing to grow and innovate new ways to serve their motorcycling community.
Bree, this was a delight to read! we can’t thank you enough for all the kind words! We are more than ecstatic that you had a good experience with us and absolutely love working with Mel. Keep up the awesome work and don’t be a stranger!
