The 2024 FIM JuniorGP World Championship came to a conclusion on Wednesday with the season finale at Circuito Estoril in Portugal.

Four Americans were in action, with AGR Team’s Max Toth joined by wildcard entry Rossi Moor, who competed in his second JuniorGP Moto2 race for Team MMR. Meanwhile, Finetwork MIR Racing Team’s Mikey Lou Sanchez and AGR Team’s Kristian Daniel Jr. both competed in the final European Talent Cup race of the season.

Toth and Moor battled each other for ninth place in the 17-lap JuniorGP Moto2 race on Wednesday, and Rossi overtook Toth on the final lap to secure 9th, while Toth crossed the finish line in 10th.

Toth suffered arm pump in the race and talked about it afterwards. “I guess I can’t complain considering where we have been at,” Toth said. “I think every time you achieve something, you think you’re going to be satisfied but the reality is, you get that much closer to that next goal and that’s kinda where I had my eyes focused. If I didn’t have those forearm issues, the result could have been very different. It was a shame because we could have been fighting closer to the top five. But overall, a top 10 is something to be happy about considering the disaster of a season we have endured at times. It’s a positive ending.”

While Moor and Toth finished in tandem in the Top 10, Sanchez and Daniel Jr. also crossed the finish line nose to tail in their feature race, with Sanchez coming home 12th and Daniel Jr. finishing 13th.

“I got into the 46’s in terms of lap times, which really was my goal,” Daniel Jr. said. “My fastest time prior to that was a 47.8, so I went 1.1 seconds faster. I’m happy about that. In order to be in the front group, my start needed to be perfect. Unfortunately, it was just a regular start, so it wasn’t enough, even though I knew I had the pace to be up there battling. It’s bittersweet but still a good way to end the season with my team.”
